My novel is about the life of Alex Samuels, a young man living in central New Hampshire back in the 1950's and 60's. The story follows Alex and his girlfriends, Bess and Abigail, as they become involved with various forms of wildlife and other animals. There are hunting and fishing stories; stories about a crow, earthworms, frogs and even a wayward bull. The two themes of Alex's love life, and the many animals described, take place in the company of a number of New England characters, complete with much Yankee jargon.
